YouTube Can Be a Parental Tool
Funny, Life, Music, Parenting, Song of the Day April 14th, 2008A parental tool of discipline! I wish I had thought of this earlier. In past couple of days I have discovered a way to get the children to do what they’ve been asked to do. They, just like Little Bunny Foo-Foo, get three chances, if they still aren’t behaving they get subjected to early 80’s Power Ballads.
Who wouldn’t do anything to make Chicago stop singing Hard To Say I’m Sorry? Bwahahahaha! And YouTube gives me quick and easy access to such atrocities. By the time he gets to, “Hold me now,” they are apologizing, begging for me to make it stop and doing what has been asked of them. I love you, YouTube. ![]()

Unfortunately, that won’t work for the bunny girl. She’d probably sing and dance along. Maybe when she’s a bit older.

Just as long as you don’t do what Jimmie has started doing to his girls during time-out… He plays a CD of classical music played on an electric organ at a high volume. I told him that was cruel and unusual punishment and his oldest came running out of her corner, “Grandma (no matter how hard I try she’s stopped with ma-maw and insist on calling me Grandma now), pwees! Pwees, tell Daddy no more nasty music! It’s killing my spirit! Make it stop, Grandma, pwees make Daddy stop the nasty music!” Joe told him that if he kept up with that not to be surprised if when they grow up they conspire to kill him in his sleep. It is that horrible.
